Solar Factor

With solar control glass, you are able to control how much solar energy enters a building. This is a great design option as you can save money through reducing your energy spend on heating or air conditioning. Not only that, but it means comfort levels are increased as you have more control over the temperatures indoors, as well as light levels.

Light Transmission

This measures how much light passes through the glass, too little will reduce your visibility in the specific area, and too much can increase the glare which can cause discomfort and annoyance to the people using the space.

Self Cleaning Glass

Designed with a hydrophilic coating, that reacts to the sun’s UV rays to start a photocatalytic process. This process works to loosen and break down dirt that forms on the glass. When water touches the surface of the glass instead of forming droplets it spreads into a sheet of water which washes the dirt quickly, allowing it to dry without any spots left on the glass. Self-cleaning glass requires less maintenance, as there is less grime and dirt that adheres to the surface.  Our self -cleaning products have been certified to EN 1096-5, the new European Standard for self-cleaning glass. The new standard tests and classifies the performance of products that use hydrophilic and photocatalytic properties to enhance glass cleanliness. EN 1096-5 certification will enable specifiers to differentiate between products with an official self-cleaning performance, and those without.

U-Value

A U-Value measures the air-to-air transmission, loss and gain, due to thermal conductance, as well as the difference in indoor and outdoor temperatures. The amount of heat transferred through the glazing will decrease as the U-Value decreases. When the U-Value is lower insulation is more efficient, as is the restrictiveness of the window to heat transfer (Reciprocal of the R-Value). Because of this function, the glass is able hit the ideal balance between economy and ecology.
