TUFFX’S FLEET EXPANDS AGAIN

April 22, 2021

TuffX has added three new 13 tonne Mercedes trucks to its fleet, bringing the total number of vehicles the leading toughened glass specialist now has on the road to 34.

The addition of the three new Mercedes Atego vehicles reflects TuffX’s continuing commitment to investment, and is a direct result of strong ongoing demand for its processed glass products, including a growing increase in demand and production of TuffX’s comprehensive Infinity range of rooflights and framed walk-on glass units.

The fleet expansion comes 18 months after TuffX previously added to its vehicle range, to increase capacity and flexibility. The fleet includes both large trucks to deliver products on a bigger scale economically, and smaller vans to enable rural deliveries on routes with potential restricted access, so TuffX can deliver direct to site with ease.

“Over the past couple of years we’ve expanded our Merseyside manufacturing facility to feed the growing demand for our safety glass products, in particular our Infinity range which has proven so popular,” said TuffX’s Managing Director Graham Price.

“The latest additions to our fleet reflect this growth of our business. Builders and installers throughout the UK can rest assured that when they order with TuffX, they’ll have the specialist glass products they need, when and where they need it, every time.”

Since launching in 2018, TuffX’s Infinity range – which includes various rooflight and walk-on products in a range of finishes and sizes, as well as bespoke – has grown and grown in popularity, both with homeowners who love the light and modern look these products can achieve, as well as builders and installers who can fit the hassle-free rooflights into place straight from the box.
