Liverpool John Lennon Airport has started to develop its international connections and is expanding as an airport, with some help from TuffX Processed Glass. Over the next twenty years, focus will be placed on making the airport a new transport corridor and World Cargo Centre.

As part of this major expansion project, TuffX Processed Glass has been contracted to supply 19mm polished, clear toughened glass in various shapes, which most recently has been incorporated into new staircases at the airport.

New terminal buildings are also part of a new master plan that is due to be completed by 2030, with plans for the airport to grow significantly by introducing permanent long-haul services.

TuffX is a leading processed glass supplier with an extensive product portfolio that is suitable for commercial and domestic projects, including balustrades, as well as curtain walling and partitioning and glass furniture.
